I was born in Guangzhou, China, and came to Hong Kong when I was nine years old. I got my BA at the University of Hong Kong. After graduation, I began working for the University of Hong Kong libraries for eight years. During that time, I completed my Master's degree in Library and Information Management. I got married in 2002 and have two lovely girls. I started as Primary Librarian in RCHK in 2008 and became Teacher Librarian in 2012 after completing my PGDE. I enjoy working with RCHK students and love their enthusiasm about reading.

Being an international teacher for two decades has been quite an adventure and I've been lucky to call England, China, Cambodia, Hungary, Singapore, Japan and now, Hong Kong, home. My role has evolved from a PYP classroom teacher, to PYP librarian and into a MYP/DP librarian as well as Technology for Learning Coach. As a librarian I am passionate about all forms of literacy: information, digital and literature. Of course, one of my hobbies is reading but I also enjoy hiking, walking with my dog and cooking. Hello RCHK community! I am originally from Sheffield, UK (home to the Arctic Monkeys and the world's first football club!). After completing my PGCE at the University of Nottingham and teaching for several years, I left England in search of sunshine and adventures. Since then, I have travelled extensively across Asia and taught for 4 years in Thailand before taking a role as High School Principal at a small school in Bali. I am now incredibly excited to be returning to the classroom and my favourite spot in all schools - the Library!
