On Saturday 9 November, our Senior Debate Team took part in the 35th Singtao Debate Competition. Having lost the first round last year, the hopeful debaters worked extra hard in the weeks leading up to the tournament. The debate regarded the motion “Introduction of statutory cooling-off period for beauty and fitness services contracts brings more good than harm.” With Sha Tin College on affirmative and RCHK on the opposition, our students out-argued and ultimately won the debate!
Representing the team in this round were Year 10 students Harsha Madhu, Chloe Lam, and Megan Chan, with Audrey Lau being the reserve. Special thanks to students, Theodore Chow and Richard Cheung, as well as teachers, Mr Ronan, Ms Forbes Wanger, and Ms Sanker, for their all their help and support during the preparation!
