Dear Parents / Guardians,
With the start of a new academic year, we are already in the process of planning and organising career-related programmes and events for our current Y11 students, and would be very grateful if you are able to help.
The WOW (World of Work) programme aims to help and support students in Year 11 undertake work experiences and enjoy the opportunity to explore possible career options and actively develop skills for future enterprise and employability. These work experiences involve working alongside professionals as they go about their daily business, and are, for many students, the highlight of their school year where they gain a real insight into the challenges and opportunities of work.
This year, our Year 11 students will undertake their work experience from 5th November to 16th November as part of their “WOW” programme. The students are in charge of sourcing their own placement, based on their career aspirations and subject interests. However, it is sometimes the case that we have to help the students and provide a placement for them.
As such, we are asking for your help. If you are in a position to offer an interesting and informative work placement in Hong Kong during the stated period, please contact Ms Wilma Shen or Mr Chris Payne.
Insurance for the student is covered, and the students will be given full guidance on what is expected of them during the placement experience. Your willingness to provide our students with a work placement opportunity plays a pivotal role in the success of our “WOW – World of Work” programme.
On behalf of Y11 students and parents, we look forward to your participation and thank you for your continued support.
