RCHK entered two teams with a mix of Year 5 and Year 6 students for this year’s Tournament of Minds. The students had been developing their problem solving, creative thinking and collaboration skills for a number of weeks before the long-term challenges were released. Each team then worked for six weeks on a long term challenge – one team on a Maths Engineering challenge and the other on a Social Science challenge. They displayed commitment, perseverance, creativity and collaboration throughout the entire planning and development process. The judges were extremely impressed with the students’ teamwork and their ability to successfully solve spontaneous challenges on the actual presentation day. Congratulations to all involved, you should be very proud of your achievements!
